What I See

I Look at the World

And my Heart Hurts.

I see the Beauty

The Joy, the Pain.

I see the Sunrise,

And I feel the Rain.

I see the Birds of the Air

And the Things that Crawl Below.

I See Decay in my surroundings,

And I see how Life Grows.

I see a baby reach tenderly for His

Mother’s Endless Love

I see the Elderly in need of the same

Kind and Loving touch.

To some It is just a Marble

of green and brown and blue

Floating in a bubble

no meaning for me or for You

I see it as a Teacher,

A Sage, a Loyal Guide

To mold the clay It's Given

To direct Our every Stride.

So when I look at the World

And I say to you “My Heart Hurts”

It’s because I See
The Miracle…
I See

The Struggle…

And all Its Magnificent Worth.
