Jordyn: “Good Morning Mr. Jackson!”
Jackson: "Where have you been? I have been looking EV-ER-Y-WHE-RE for you.”
Jackson: "Where have you been? I have been looking EV-ER-Y-WHE-RE for you.”
Inseparable, that is how Jordyn’s teacher would describe her
and her new little 4 year old beau “Mr. Jackson” during their early morning
preschool class.
I was running a little behind one morning as I hastily
worked through my washing, dressing, and scrambling of eggs routine. I was merely five
minutes overdue when I walked through the preschool door greeting Ms. Tiffany,
Jordyn’s new preschool teacher. “Sorry, I’m a little late.” I apologetically explained.
Just then Jackson cool and collectively walked across the room and with a mild determination
took his stance. “Where have you been? I have been looking
EV-ER-Y-WHE-RE for you!” he anxiously proclaimed as if he had searched the whole world over. He then took Jordyn
by the hand and guided her towards the Play-Doh table.
At this age you may find that some kids attach themselves to
a parent, their favorite toy or blanket, but not these two. They have learned
early how to find the eternal comfort in another human being; the reliability
and assurance of a true friend indeed.
