"Illusions"

Sometimes what we see doesn't always reflect what is truly there. Take my daughters for example...one is at the stage where looks seem to be all that matter, while the other one is trying to grasp the complexity of the day to day thing that we call life. How do you teach your children that physical beauty is fleeting, but what you make of yourself on the inside ( inner beauty), that is enduring?  :)

"The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mode
but the true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul.
It is the caring that she lovingly gives the passion that she shows.
The beauty of a woman grows with the passing years"
  - Audrey Hepburn

  1. Oh, yes! Only having one daughter, I thought I had missed out on all this fun, but my granddaughters!

Venus (on being dragged away from a toy to go on a grocery run with mom): "I'm too tired to be beautiful!"

Angel (hearing Venus' knockout looks complimented one time too many): "You're not pretty, Venus!"

We're all individuals; some of us get it, and some never do. Never having been cursed with good looks myself, I've never had to grapple with this, but let me offer you an opinion. If the picture on your profile is accurate, you are an attractive woman in your own right. Your daughters recognize this, even if they never bring it up. How you conduct yourself in your day to day life will teach them more lessons than you could ever plan and deliver. Be the kind of lady you would like them to grow into. There are never any guarantees, but you may find the many surprises yet to come to be on the pleasant side...

  2. ME ATTRACTIVE? Well thank you for your kind remark, but I guess that all depends on who you ask and what time of day it is.

But what you say is true, to set the example and hope that the apple will not fall too far is probably the best advice I could get.

    Jack to the rescue! :)
